Meet the Board
Laurie Sanci is an organizational consultant, facilitator, coach, and the Chair of the Board at Postpartm Suport Toronto. She helps leaders and their teams address the ‘pink elephants’: the risky issues that get in the way of relationships and results. Laurie developed her knack for dealing with the ‘tough stuff’ through her 20 years of experience implementing organizational change and equity initiatives in the public sector. She is a trained facilitator, and holds certifications in both mediation and coaching. Laurie earned a Master of Arts in Sociology and Equity Studies from OISE at the University of Toronto and a Master’s Certificate in Organizational Development from the Canadian Organizational Development Institute. She jumped at the chance to join the PPSTO Board as it gave her an opportunity to share her experience in board development with PPST’s Executive Director, Olivia Scobie, a friend and former colleague from Centennial College.
I am so honoured to be a part of the PPSTO as the Business Strategist. As a new mom in Toronto I struggled with PPD and was unable to find resources that fit my mental health needs and because of this experience I am committed to have more resources available to new parents. Over the last 10 years I started bebo mia inc. & purchased Baby & Me Fitness Inc. with my partner Natasha Marchand. Together we are committed to the global education and support of women who work with the pregnant and new mom market. I am passionate about ensuring parents have researched-based and inclusive information that will support them having the most positive parenting experiences possible. My business has shifted to also support women who have started businesses after becoming mothers as this experience offers them empowerment through financial independence and builds their confidence as they follow their passions with their business ventures. My personal project, BiancaSprague.com shares business tips & strategies as well as stories of women entrepreneurs who are also mothers. I live in Toronto with my spouse, Alana and our daughter Gray.

She’s committed to changing the way we care for modern moms, by advocating for maternal wellness, raising awareness of the importance and impact of postpartum care, and building support for new parents in our communities.
